Golden Eagle Released Back Into The Wild After Rehab For Injuries That Left Bird Near Death

PENROSE, Colo. (CBS4)- A golden eagle is once again flying over Beaver Creek State Wildlife Area after rehabilitation. Colorado Parks and Wildlife released the bird of prey on Thursday, with a little help from some summer campers.

The bird was near death in May, likely hurt when flying into a vehicle during a storm near Cripple Creek.

The eagle took to the skies and headed in the direction where it was found injured last month.
