FAIRPLAY, Colo. (CBS4) – Snowy conditions caused part of Highway 285 to close north of Fairplay on Monday. It reopened at around 3:30 p.m.

The Colorado Department of Transportation says there is a safety closure for northbound lanes between Ridge Lane and County Road 7.

On Monday, CBS4 Meteorologist Ashton Altieri said many mountain towns could see accumulating snow below tree line. Some areas could see more than six inches above 10,000 feet and the towns could see three inches.
