BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)– The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office is looking to hire seasonal firefighters after an especially long and difficult wildfire season. Multiple wildfires ripped through the area this past year.

Those fires include the Calwood Fire, which destroyed at least 20 homes and forced thousands to evacuate.

The seasonal firefighters will help put out fires as well as handle prescribed burns, clearing out underbrush and dead trees, as well as planting new ones.
