ASPEN, Colo. (CBS4) – Aspen Mountain and Snowmass will open their ski slopes a day early as an effort to thin out crowds. They will open limited terrain on Wednesday.

They hope to avoid the usual Thanksgiving Day rush to get on the slopes.

The ski areas do not have a reservation system in place, but Aspen says it is working on one.

Masks are mandatory.
