DENVER (CBS4) – Colorado State Patrol responded to a deadly crash involving a pedestrian. It happened Saturday night near Federal Boulevard and 66th Avenue.

A 35-year-old man tried to run across the street and was hit, police say. He died at the hospital.

Investigators say the  25-year-old driver was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Neither the driver or victim have been identified. State Patrol officials remind Coloradans to use crosswalks.

    35-year-old pedestrian drunk, drugs?
    Hope thathe 25-year-oldriver’s blood alcoholevel was not enough to diminishis ability to avoid the pedestrian.

    This is numero uno why you should never drive drunk: some suicidal nimrod can be 100% at fault but now you get charged with vehicular homicide.
