DENVER (CBS4)– Earlier this summer, Gov. Jared Polis said that face masks would be delivered to schools across Colorado to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. More than 672,000 masks have been delivered to those schools.

The masks are medical grade KN95 masks.

The Department of Education coordinated the effort to ensure each staff member has one mask to wear each week.

I would like to know where those masks were sent. my daughter works at a low income school in Lakewood and they did not get a medical grade mask. They received a flimsy single layer scratchy mask absolutely NOT medical grade. I feel that polis promise of medical masked made teachers think they would be safer going back to school. now look my daughter and hundreds more are in school teaching , No medical mask. I worry for my daughters safety and very mad and i feel Polis LIED. Please find out what is going on with the medical masks before something happens to any of these teachers. still waiting for a response from governor polis office.
