Colorado Task Force One Heads To Gulf Of Mexico Ahead Of Hurricane Laura

DENVER (CBS4)- Colorado Task Force One is headed to the Gulf of Mexico ahead of Hurricane Laura. The task force has about 200 members that include firefighters, paramedics and other first responders.

Their job is to find and rescue people who are trapped.

Hurricane Laura is expected to make landfall in Texas and Louisiana on Wednesday evening. It is classified as a Category 4 storm and is moving towards the coast with winds up to 145 mph.
