GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (CBS4)– The largest wildfire burning in Colorado right now is the Pine Gulch Fire at 135,903 acres. The fire burning north of Grand Junction is 47% contained.

The fire, started by lightning on July 31, is the second-largest wildfire in the state’s history but is quickly approaching the total acreage burned in the largest wildfire in Colorado history, the Hayman Fire.
