Narcotics investigators took a look a closer look and found some chemicals that don't normally show up in a meth lab. The bomb squad was called in and neighbors were asked to evacuate.

The bomb squad eventually determined the substances were not explosive.

Geschwell, 46, was arrested on charges of illegal drugs, weapons and child abuse.

Tuesday, Denver-based real estate attorney Rolf Von Merveldt confirmed for CBS4 he represents clients who had been attempting to foreclose on the Gerschwell's residence since January. Those attempts had been delayed until Monday by the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, he said.

A search of public records indicates Gerschwell has been the subject of at least one previous foreclosure case, and possibly as many as four.
