(CBS4) – The Denver Broncos announced on Friday they have released tight end Jeff Heuerman. The veteran was drafted by the team in the 2015 NFL Draft but his career has been marred by several injuries.

The solid run blocker and former Ohio State Buckeye attained the following career stats with the Broncos.

– 63 receptions, 678 yards and five touchdowns

Heuerman counted $4.3 million on the salary cap.
