Space Orbiter Named 'Hope' Blasts Off To Mars Thanks To Lab At CU Boulder

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- The United Arab Emirates launched its first mission to Mars thanks to some help from Colorado. The space orbiter named Hope was constructed at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics at the University of Colorado Boulder.

The spacecraft will spend two years in space gathering crucial data. That data will also be shared with the program and CU.
