Back To Work: Colorado Legislature Must Figure Out $3.3 Billion Budget Gap

DENVER (CBS4) -- Colorado lawmakers get back to work Tuesday and they'll be busy. The legislature will have to figure out how to deal with the economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic -- a $3.3 billion dollar budget gap.

Our state is facing a 25% cut in next year's general fund spending. Lawmakers are looking at cuts to education and possibly ending some tax breaks.

Their top priority is passing a balanced budget for the new fiscal year, which starts July 1
