DENVER (CBS4) – How people will honor the memory of U.S. fallen service members at Fort Logan National Cemetery changed with the coronavirus pandemic. Not as many flags were placed at the gravesites on the Saturday before Memorial Day.

This year, there are also no large ceremonies allowed to honor those service members. In years past, Boy Scout troops would make it their mission to place a flag in front of every grave.

A veterans group stepped in to help this year.

  1. William R Savage MSgt USAF (Retired) says:

It is a National Disgrace we are not Honoring the Fallen. The UV light from the Sun this time of year destroys the virus. It’s time to stop listening the Socialist that want to control every aspect of our lives. These men and women died for our Constitutional Rights.
