Wildfire Burns 60 Acres In San Miguel County

SAN MIGUEL COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A wildfire is currently burning on the Western Slope on the Uncompahgre plateau. The Steel Canyon Fire has burned at least 60 acres, according to the San Miguel County Sheriff's Office.

People living in Montrose and San Miguel Counties may see some lingering smoke throughout the day.

The Bureau of Land Management is helping to fight the fire. Two engines and a helicopter are working to put it out.

It's not yet clear how the fire started.
