Ski Resorts Sued Over Early Season Closures Amid Coronavirus Pandemic
VAIL, Colo. (CBS4) - Vail Resorts and Alterra Mountain company now face separate, class-action lawsuits for closing early in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.
Vail closed all its resorts on March 17. Alterra closed shortly after that.
In the lawsuit, the plaintiffs argue people who had the Epic and Ikon Passes should have gotten at least a partial refund.
Resorts on the Ikon Pass include Copper Mountain, Winter Park and Arapahoe Basin. The Epic Pass includes Keystone, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek and Vail.
