Crews Finally Extinguish Brush Fire Fueled By Wind In Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- A grass fire burning in a state park in Colorado Springs was extinguished before it got out of control.
The fire started overnight in steep terrain. It burned about 27 acres in the area of Cheyenne Mountain Park by Highway 115 and Norad Road.
The wind fueled the blaze and kept firefighters busy. Crews were finally able to contain the fire by Thursday afternoon.
