Woman, Dog Suffer Critical Injuries After Falling Into Icy Pond
DENVER (CBS4) - West Metro firefighters responded to Colorado Academy on South Pierce Street Sunday. They say a woman and her dog fell into an icy pond.
Firefighters say the pond has an aerator which keeps the middle of the body of water unfrozen.
The woman's husband saw her and their dog fall through the ice. Firefighters arrived and pulled them out.
The woman was taken to the hospital, and the dog was taken to a veterinarian.
Both suffered critical injuries, officials say.
