EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)– A great horned owl is flying free again thanks to some help from Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers. The owl’s talons were trapped in a fishing lure with multiple hooks.
The owl got caught at the Fountain Creek Nature Center in El Paso County. CPW officers were able to cut the lure and line.
Then, they freed the owl. The owl flew away, back into the wilderness.
