I-70 Reopens After Weekend Closure For Central 70 Project
DENVER (CBS4)- A stretch of Interstate 70 that was closed over the weekend for construction on the Central 70 Project reopened early Monday morning. The closure stretched from Steele/Vasquez to I-270.
Two major tasks were completed during the closure: 32 girders were lifted in place to prepare for the new Colorado Boulevard bridge, each weighing 40 to 50 tons and the demolition of the old I-270 flyover.
