Former Idaho Football Player Helps Denver Kids Get Ready For School
DENVER (CBS4) - A Denver-based nonprofit came together on Saturday to give out new backpacks stuffed with school supplies. Only The Strong Foundation hosted the annual Burgers & Bags event at Silverman Park.
Former Idaho State Football player Marcus Jackson founded the organization. It helps at-risk youth and minority children in Denver's Montbello neighborhood where he grew up.
This year, children could also get school and sport physicals for free.
