(CBS4) – A fire at an oil site on Wednesday evening killed one person. The site is located approximately 10 miles northwest of Greeley.

It is unclear what happened leading up to the fire, which broke out at 6:30 p.m. at a Great Western Oil and Gas site at County Road 66 and Hillcrest Drive.

The victim was a male.

Fire crews spent more than three hours working to extinguish the fire, which was burning on one of the holding tanks.
