DENVER (CBS4) – A busy part of Colfax Avenue was closed for an extended amount of time on Sunday. Denver police have closed off westbound lanes Sunday at around 1:30 p.m. for a water main break.
The closure spanned between Harrison Street and Colorado Boulevard. That’s right next to National Jewish Health.
Police said the closure was expected last between six and 12 hours. It reopened later Sunday.
Denver Water, however, said the break did not affecting customers.
Officials say the cast-iron line was installed in 1895.
