BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4)– During an investigation at Brighton High School on Friday afternoon, all Brighton 27J Schools were placed on lockdown. Just before 5 p.m. the lockdown was lifted for the school district.

Authorities told CBS4 they were investigating a tip.

Students were evacuated as a precautionary measure. There will be a controlled release for elementary schools and middle schools in the district at 4:30 p.m.

Re-unification for parents will be at St. Augustine’s Church.

School officials said there was no immediate danger to the public.

    As long as these so called reporters keep running there mouths there is going to be stuff like this all they care about is there click baits.They don’t care about the crazy’s out there that read there story’s and say i can do better than that.

      After Sol Paid demonstrated that school districts from Littleton to Fort Collins could be closed without articulating a specific threat or committing any crime, we should expect more, similar overreaction. The media may be sensationalizing the matter, but the people running our schools are the ones failing to do their jobs.
