All Clear Given After Brighton 27J Schools Put On Lockdown

BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4)- During an investigation at Brighton High School on Friday afternoon, all Brighton 27J Schools were placed on lockdown. Just before 5 p.m. the lockdown was lifted for the school district.

Authorities told CBS4 they were investigating a tip.

Students were evacuated as a precautionary measure. There will be a controlled release for elementary schools and middle schools in the district at 4:30 p.m.

Re-unification for parents will be at St. Augustine's Church.

School officials said there was no immediate danger to the public.
