WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4) – Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers had a busy Monday morning in Westminster. A bear showed up in a neighbor’s yard near 133rd Avenue and Huron Street.
The officers managed to tranquilize the bear and relocate him to the Pike National Forest.
Officers say they released it near the Douglas County, Teller County line.
“It was a male black bear and our wildlife officers estimated it was roughly two years old, 100-120 pounds,” they said.
