Planned Trails At Rocky Flats Prompts Lawsuit
DENVER (CBS4) - A lawsuit has been filed by Town of Superior officials over planned trails at Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge.
Superior is located just northeast of the refuge.
Officials are concerned there might be environmental risks for residents who use the trails.
In 2017, environmental groups sued to stop those trail from opening. The lawsuit was dismissed and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service hopes to open the trails later this summer.
Superior's lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Denver.
