Health Officials: No Air Hazard From Recycling Plant Fire

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A fire at a recycling facility put out a lot of thick, black smoke over the Denver metro area on Tuesday afternoon.

The fire was burning at EVRAZ Recycling at 5601 York Street.

What caused the fire is being investigated.

Adams County officials say recommended residents stay indoors as Tri-County Health and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment were requested to monitor the air. Tri-County Health says there is currently no hazard based on their monitoring.
