More Haze & Heat Coming Our Way

By Lauren Whitney
DENVER (CBS4) -

A bit warmer on Tuesday after a nice respite from the heat on Monday. A few isolated thunderstorms are possible, mostly on the eastern plains, on Tuesday. Some of those could turn severe, with hail and wind being the biggest threats from those storms.

We'll be hazy once again on Wednesday for the Urban Corridor thanks to the many wildfires burning in our state. Once again we'll have an Ozone Action Day in place. If you can carpool or walk to lunch to save on emissions, you'd be helping out a lot.

The 90s also return on Wednesday, with another chance for isolated storms. Some could turn severe again, mostly on the eastern plains.

After that, we start to see a few changes heading into the second half of the weekend as the remnants of Hurricane Bud currently heading for Cabo San Lucas in Mexico heads for Colorado. The result should be cooler and wetter weather from Sunday through early next week. This could bring some much needed rain to many areas of Colorado and give us a break from the heat.
