Church To Allow Illegal Immigrants To Take Sanctuary, Avoid Deportation
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- A church in Boulder will allow illegal immigrants to take sanctuary to avoid deportation.
On Sunday, 90 percent of the Unitarian Universalist Church's congregation voted in favor of the proposal. But the church, located in Boulder, won't be taking in anyone right away.
The church plans to update security and create a room suitable to live in.
In Colorado, there are five illegal immigrants taking sanctuary in churches or temples.
