EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – The dam at Sylvan Lake State Park will soon be replaced.

State officials says there is no immediate danger, but the dam built 70 years ago no longer meets current safety standards.

The lake will have to be drained, and some camping sites closed.
