Sinkhole Closes Street Ahead Of Rush Hour

LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) - A street is closed because of a sinkhole just before the afternoon rush hour.

West 22nd Street will be closed from Wilson Avenue to Farisita Drive, the City of Loveland said in a release.

Emergency repairs will not begin until Thursday morning, and work is expected to take up to 10 days to complete, so the closure could cause problems for several days.

The sinkhole is possibly a result of a failed irrigation pipe between Louden Ditch and Rist Benson Reservoir.
