Mountain Snow With Less Wind On The Plains

By Dave Aguilera

DENVER (CBS4) - On the weather map a cold front has oozed in over the eastern plains and at the same time there is still a big flow of moisture from the southwest. This is enhancing snowfall over the mountains into part of northeastern Colorado. The cooler air also, produced lots of patchy fog in parts of the state Sunday morning. With a few spots dropping down to less that a quarter-mile visibility.

There are still Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories over the northern and central mountains through Monday night.

For Denver temperatures will be about 20 degrees cooler than Saturday but, it will be a lot less windy. There is another cold front for the Mile High City coming in on Tuesday with much colder air and a good shot at producing snow in Denver. This may be a problem for the Tuesday morning commute.
