FREMONT COUNTY (CBS4) – The Colorado State Patrol is warning drivers not to mess around, after a cry for help was determined to be a hoax.
A trooper pulled over a vehicle after spotting a sign in the back window that read, “Help me please!”, not knowing what he’d find.

It turned out to be a joke, but troopers didn’t find it funny. They had a conversation with the driver, but no one is facing any charges.
