Search For Missing Person At Great Sand Dunes

ALAMOSA, Colo. (CBS4)- A search is underway for someone missing at the Great Sand Dunes National Park.

Helicopters, park staff and search dogs have joined in the rescue effort.

Rangers noticed a car had been parked in a lot along the Medano Pass primitive road since May 7.

They called for a search on Monday. The search area includes going through 14 square miles of rugged terrain in the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness Area.

Crews have not identified who they are searching for.
