Police Need Help Identifying Burglars Caught On Video

By Andrea Flores

DENVER (CBS4) - A restaurant in Denver's West Highlands neighborhood has warning for their community after burglars broke in early Friday morning.

It happened at Solitaire, near West 32nd Avenue and Perry Street.

Surveillance video caught two men breaking in around 12:30 a.m.

"It's scary, it's frustrating, and it made us pretty angry," said Solitaire Owner, Mark Ferguson.

Ferguson and his wife watched helplessly from home after getting an alert from their security company.

"We just sat, painfully sat, and watched as we were waiting for the police to come, going from camera to camera to see what they were doing," Ferguson said.

While the crooks got away with a few hundred dollars' worth of products, they also cause hundreds of dollars in damages, and the restaurant wasn't their only stop.

"They were seen either trying to break into cars, and looking into business windows, so they were on the prowl in other areas, in addition to coming here," Ferguson told CBS4's Andrea Flores.

Ferguson hopes putting the surveillance video out there will help police find the suspects, and help his community stay safe.

"This is not a neighborhood to screw around with," Ferguson said.

Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call Denver police.
