Military Action Launched Against Syria
WASHINGTON, D.C. (CBS4) - CBS News has confirmed that two Navy destroyers have launched cruise missiles into Syria.
This comes in retaliation to the suspected chemical attack earlier this week.
CBS News reports 60 cruise missiles have Cruise missiles into select military targets on the first direct assault on Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad's government.
Cruise missiles are unmanned, and carry a 1,000-pound warhead. They're guided and fly close to the ground, below enemy air defenses.
