DENVER (CBS4)– Dozens of 5th graders visited the state Capitol on Thursday to watch government in action for Liberty Day.
The students from Northglenn and Craig received a tour of the state Capitol. They also read the preamble and Bill of Rights on the state House floor.
Then the students quizzed the lawmakers.
This was the fifth year for the annual Liberty Day event.
Students had to win an essay contest to be selected to take part.
