DENVER (CBS4)– Some Denver Police Department recruits took advantage of the warm weather on Friday to train for a special event– they took a dive into icy water for the upcoming Polar Plunge.

Last year the Denver Police Department raised $46,000 for the organization.

This year, the recruits hope to raise more money for the event which is Feb. 25 and hosted by the Denver Zoo.
