Thomas Catches 5th Straight 1,000 Yard Season

DENVER (CBS4) - Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas is the only player with 1,000 yards receiving in each of the last five seasons.

Coming into the game against the New England Patriots, Thomas needed 75 yards to reach the milestone.

He pulled that off with his sixth catch of Sunday's game. It was a 12 yard pass from quarterback Trevor Siemian in the third quarter.

Earlier this year, Thomas became the fourth player in team history to catch 500 passes, in the loss to the Raiders in Oakland.

Thomas is the third all-time leading receiver with the Broncos, with more than 7,500 yards in his seven-year career.

Rod Smith (11,389) and Shannon Sharpe (8,439) are the only two players in team history with more receiving yards.

Jerry Rice (22,895), who had a brief stint in the off-season with the Broncos in 2005 before retiring, is the NFL's all-time leading receiver.
