DENVER (CBS4) – After the Broncos placed Andy Janovich on injured reserve there was some speculation Juwan Thompson would see a lot of touches at the fullback position.

Things haven’t gone that way. The Broncos have pretty much abandoned using a fullback.

“They’re using a tight end to go in motion in an offset package, but that’s mostly to see what the defense is doing not so much to be a lead blocker, so right now they’re using a tight end in that role rather than Juwan,” Associated Press Pro Football Writer Arnie Stapleton told CBS4.

Stapleton said he believes Justin Forsett will start on Sunday in place of Devontae Booker at running back.

Booker has struggled since C.J. Anderson suffered a knee injury.
