Woman Randomly Shot In The Chest By Paintball

By Jeff Todd

DENVER (CBS4)- A woman in Stapleton thinks she may have been shot with a paintball before a recent vandalism spree involving dozens of shot-out car windows.

"I really thought I had been shot as I looked up I saw a white truck," said Precious Flores. "My whole hand was blue thank goodness not red. I was like, 'I think I just got shot by a paintball.'"

Flores was shot in the chest. She still has a blue mark on the sweater she was wearing.

"Really it hurts more inside than anything. I finally got a little sleep last night I went two nights without sleeping. I'm looking at every vehicle when I go outside now. I want to feel safe again. I really do," Flores said.

She contacted police to file a report. So far police haven't linked Flores's shooting with the rash of vandalism on the south end of Stapleton. Dozens of cars had windows shot out by a large BB.

Flores hopes someone knows something and will come forward to police with information, "This is assault and I really hope somebody is able to come forth and find out who did this."
