Violent Suspect Wanted In Attack On Auraria Campus

DENVER (CBS4)- Police are working to track down a violent assault suspect who tried to rob two people on the Auraria campus in downtown Denver.

Surveillance cameras were able to catch clear photos of the suspects face; investigators say it's likely someone will recognize him.

Both happened Nov. 22 around 7:30 p.m. The first victim was approached outside the north classroom building near Larimer Street and Speer Boulevard.

The suspect demanded money but was denied. In response he attacked, fracturing the victims face.

A few minutes later, near the Auraria library- not far from the first attack the suspect hit another person in the face.

Police say the second victim attempted to follow the suspect but was out run.

They are now hoping the clear image of the man's face will lead to his identity and his arrest.
