Whether you’re not a fan of cooking or you just want to enjoy the holiday with your family, there are lots of local restaurants happy to make your Christmas Day meal for you. From casual eateries to up-scale, high-end restaurants, there is a little something for everyone open on Christmas Day this year. Just be sure to plan ahead and make your reservations early because all of these restaurants are open limited hours and are sure to fill up fast.

Appaloosa Grill

Enjoy a full menu at this popular local hot spot. The Appaloosa Grill is an American/World traditional eatery with an impressive menu featuring items like Bison Sirloin and Ravioli, Bison Oxtail Pappardelle and Kobe Steak and Frites. Chef John J. Daly creates lots of incredible meals, including options for vegetarians, vegans and those that need gluten free meals. There is always something here for everyone, and it’s a great place to visit on Christmas Day. While there is no confirmation of live music for the big day, this restaurant often features local musicians, so you may also be treated to some perfect holiday entertainment while you and your family enjoy a perfect holiday meal.

The Downtown Denver location of Elway’s Restaurants is also going to be open on Christmas day, with both a full menu and a specially-created prix fixe menu for the big day itself. Dinner service should begin around noon and run until about 9 that night, but be sure to make your reservations early as this popular high-end eatery tends to fill up fast. While the exact menu hasn’t been announced yet, you can be sure that it will include a couple of amazing steak options, including the Wagyu Rib-Eye, which Elway’s does so well. Plan ahead and get the whole family ready for this elegant Christmas evening meal.

If you’re searching for something a little more casual but still features amazingly delicious dishes, then make your holiday reservations at Henry’s on the 16th Street Mall in Denver. This great local restaurant is open for most holidays, and you should be able to get anything on the full menu, including the popular Hand-Stretched Barley Malt Pizzas, signature burgers or some of Henry’s other signature dishes like the Crispy Orange Chicken or Hank’s Beer Brat with bacon-fennel kraut. Be sure to save room for dessert, as there’s always something yummy on the menu here.

Range is an elegant New American-style restaurant with very fresh and delicious take on traditional American cuisine. Enjoy the house charcuterie and local cheeses as your appetizer before you try the wood-oven pizzas or the other popular dishes, like the Smoked Bison Ribs, Berkshire Pork Loin, Colorado Lamb or Pan Seared Scallops. As you plan your holiday meal, keep in mind that Range is only open for breakfast and dinner on Christmas Day, and will be closed from about 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.. So head to Range early or plan on dinner after 5 so you can enjoy your chance to dine at this tasty restaurant on Christmas Day.
