Broncos Von Miller Joins Elite Sack Company

DENVER (CBS4) - Broncos linebacker Von Miller is one of only two players in team history with 10 or more sacks in five seasons.

Miller needed a half of a sack going into Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, and got it.

He chased down quarterback Alex Smith twice on the same drive in the second quarter to reach the milestone in the twelfth week of the 2016 season.

Miller added another sack later in the game, picking up three of the team's six sacks on Smith.

Recent Broncos Ring of Fame inductee Simon Fletcher is the other player to accomplish the feat of 10 or more sacks in five years.

Fletcher played for the Broncos from 1985 to 1995, registering a team record 97.5 sacks.

Miller is only in his sixth season, currently with 72.5 sacks in his career. (He only recorded 5 sacks in the 2013 season, when he missed some games due to a suspension and others due to a knee injury.)
