Business Owners Get Together To Provide Meals For Homeless

More than 300 people participated in the event and received a free meal. Many also received clothes that had been donated.

Organizers say the goodwill makes a huge difference in the community.

"They're thrilled. They're absolutely appreciative. They enjoy getting some clothes and some toys for their kids," said Mark Smiley, president of the Glendale Chamber of Commerce.

"It's really sad to see the kids come up (for food). So my daughter and some others were helping hand out toys. It really is the entire community coming together and it kind of brings a tear to my eye because it's really helping a lot of people."

The strip club Shotgun Willie's has been hosting the event for the past 18 years. It took place in the parking area outside the business.
