3,000 Turkeys Handed Out During 'Operation Free Bird'

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - The Adams County Sheriff's Office is helping families in need this holiday season.

Volunteers handed out more than 3,000 frozen turkeys at Water World on Saturday. It's called Operation Free Bird.

In addition to the turkeys, local businesses offered free medical and dental screenings, career advice and haircuts.
