Graffiti On Trump Campaign Office 'Goes To The Lowest Level'

DENVER (CBS4) - Offensive graffiti painted outside a historic building that houses a Donald Trump campaign office in Denver is a sign of how tense the campaign for president has become with only a few days until Election Day.

The building is located at 18th Avenue and North Clarkson Street, and the crime took place sometime overnight. Ls were painted on the front windows of the building and offensive words about the Republican presidential candidate were painted on the side, including the word "pervert."

While Trump campaign staff used razor blades to scrape off the Ls, a man came by with a power washer and volunteered to help clean up the paint, which was applied sometime overnight.

The campaign office serves as the headquarters for Trump's Denver team. It has been the target of vandalism before, but campaign coalition co-chair Stephen Barlock said this makes the other instances seem minor.

"It's juvenile, childish and it really just shows how Hillary Clinton's people are viewing this fight. They need to go to the lowest levels of attack," Barlock said.

Denver police are searching for the person or people who are responsible.

So far there's no word on if police have a description of the suspect or suspects.
