Texans Fan Starts GoFundMe To Buy Out Brock

HOUSTON (CBS4) - A Houston Texans fan has started a GoFundMe page to buyout quarterback Brock Osweiler's contract.

All $72 million of it.

"I am a die hard Texans fan," poster Ali A-g says. "And we need to get rid of Brock Osweiler or we're not going anywhere."

With a QBR of only 47, Osweiler has struggled this season, but still has been steady with 8 touchdowns and 8 interceptions, and a completion percentage of 58, with 1,533 yards.

But it's not enough for at least one Texans fan who wants more.

"He is a waste of 72 million," the poster wrote. "And for a dollar a day we can get him out and make [wide receiver] DeAndre Hopkins happy."

Texans coach Bill O'Brien thinks otherwise, telling CBS affiliate KHOU that Osweiler is "a good player."

"I think it's very difficult to come into a new system and a new team and just pick it up right away," O'Brien said. "I think everybody has to do a better job. Coaches, we all have to do better."

The GoFundMe buyout attempt is getting some donations, although not near enough to make it happen.
