Lt. Gen. John Raymond Takes Helm Of Air Force Space Command
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- Lt. Gen. John Raymond was installed on Tuesday as the new head of Air Force Space Command.
Raymond was installed during a special ceremony at Peterson Air Force Base.
Raymond took over for Gen. John Hyten who served as commander since 2014.
Raymond was nominated by Pres. Barack Obama on Sept. 7 to lead space command and oversee 38,000 employees as well as organize the Air Force's space operations.
