Broncos Ware To Have Surgery On Arm

DENVER (CBS4) - Broncos veteran linebacker DeMarcus Ware will miss four to five weeks with an arm injury.

Ware fractured a bone near his elbow on Sunday and will undergo surgery, according to head coach Gary Kubiak.

The injury occurred in the second quarter of the Broncos 34-20 win over the Colts when Ware shared a sack with Von Miller of Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. He aggravated the injury after returning to play in the third quarter.

The Broncos defensive captain sent out a tweet on Monday morning thanking those who have been sending him "well wishes to a speedy recovery."

"Looking forward to being back out there with my guys," Ware tweeted.

This is the second injury for Ware since the Broncos Super Bowl 50 win. He missed most of the practices during training camp while he recovered from a back injury.
