Police Search For Man Who Set Fire To Mattresses

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Boulder searched for a person of interest in a mattress fire outside a furniture store.

Firefighters rushed to the north side of Boulder Furniture and Mattress at 2125 Pearl Street about 11:25 p.m. Wednesday on reports of a fire. When crews arrived they found a stack of mattresses burning next to the building.

The flames were 15-20 feet high when firefighters arrived. Crews were able to extinguish the fire before it caused any damage to the inside of the building.

Witnesses told police about a man who walked away from the scene of the fire. He is described as a white male, with an average build and dark hair. At the time he was wearing a dark suit coat, pants and a white shirt that was untucked.

Police consider this man a person of interest and would like to speak with him.
